Shop the Look: Modern Farmhouse Entryway

The entryway of your house receives the most foot traffic than any other space. Its the touchdown space for keys, groceries, coats and even shoes. Its also one of the spaces that easily gets cluttered… and fast! Having an efficient entryway is crucial to maintaining your sanity. Amazon is one of our favorite go to retailers for pretty much everything. We have even ordered dog food from Amazon, a Prime delivery was much easier than running to the store! We tend to think of amazon for products and gifts, but can you really design your home from Amazon? Would we like it? Do they offer anything that fits our design…

The holidays are upon us and the drool worthy holiday catalogs are already in the mail. One of favorites so far is the Pottery Barn December 2017 issue. Its pages are filled with easy, comfortable style that has a timeless, classic feel to it. We find that it is a good go to for design inspiration and many of their decor pieces blend with a variety of design styles. One of the things that make these catalogs so successful are the curated design vignettes. Trendwatch: Countdown to Highpoint Market

It’s one of our favorite times of the year – High Point Market. A time when designers and retailers from across the globe descend upon the furniture capital of the world to discover the latest products and trends. The usually quiet, southern town is completely transformed during 5 days of non stop action and industry buzz. In past markets we have shared transportation with buyers from Australia, to Ecuador to Japan. It’s truly a global experience where we all speak the same beautiful language of design. To best navigate market, its best to have a plan, scheduled appointments, comfortable shoes and lots of coffee! Market can be exhausting, but it…

2018 Sherwin Williams Color of the Year

Sherwin Williams recently announced their 2018 Color of the Year. It’s bold, it’s mysterious and it’s completely unexpected. We have seen jewel tones and folk inspired colors trending for a couple of years now. What is unique about this color is the hybrid effect that blends its way into so many other colors. Oceanside is not quite blue and not quite green, it’s both enthusiastic and moody, familiar and unfamiliar and we are already in love with it. Consider using Oceanside for beautifully  dramatic furniture pieces. The richness of the blue creates a sense of opulence. Pair with gold accents for added luxury. Or, pair with silver accents for a…

Our hearts and prayers go out to everyone that has experienced loss, pain and are trying ever so desperately to rebuild their lives. The interior environment can be so trivial at times. At the end of the day it’s just carpet, furniture, paint and accessories. Just simple everyday objects. But these objects can inspire us, they can unify us, they can calm us down or  lift our spirits. Today we are going to focus on what inspires us, what brings…
